In connection with acceptance on 11 December 2014 by the Steering Committee of the 19th national smart specialisation called Smart creative technologies, a procedure was initiated to establish the formal 19th Working Group for Smart Creative Technologies (SCT).
The SCT Working Group will be a continuation of the informal group for culture and creative industries, initiated by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, composed of the representatives of business, science and business environment institutions.
The goal of this informal group was to conduct analysis of innovative potential in the scope of creative industries and culture, based on the process of entrepreneurial discovery. As a result of works, experts indicated to a need of creating an additional national smart specialisation SCT, including: industrial design, computer games and multi-media.
The tasks of the formal SCT Working Group will include, among others:
- preparation of the detailed description, defining the scope of Smart Creative Technologies forming the basis of assessment, whether an application for co-financing in the scope of the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020 suits the selected specialisation,
- preparing a vision of development and measurable expected effects of actions in the scope of a given smart specialisation,
- preparing proposals of changes and supplementations to a given smart specialisation, as well as formulating the need of introduction of new specialisations,
- analysis of progress in performance of actions and obtaining the goals of NSS.
